Research Opportunities
We welcome the opportunity to mentor high-school and undergraduate students interested in conducting computational research. While prior research experience is not necessary, we have
very high expectations in terms of commitment, self-motivation, and effort on the part of any student interest in doing research in our lab. The best analogy to the level of commitment and expectations is not that of the typical class (where you may shine with little effort) but that of competitive sports — the fact that you are the fastest runner in your class does not mean that you will do well in a national meeting.
Lab members are committed to spending time and effort mentoring you. If you are not prepared to value and respect their time and effort, doing research in our lab may not be the thing for you.
If you are still interested in research in our lab, please visit room Tech EG80 and talk to one of us about current research opportunities.
